New Academic Schools

Over the summer, the College reorganized our academic schools. The new schools are:

• Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (LASS). This school includes departments/programs such as English, public speaking, foreign languages, humanities, history, government, psychology, art, communication design, administration of justice, human services, and early childhood development. The school office is located in H111 on the first floor of the Humanities Building and the interim dean is Amy Anguiano.
• Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). This school includes the sciences, such as biology, chemistry, physics and geology; engineering technology programs; engineering; and mathematics. The school office is located in A114 on the first floor of Anderson Hall and the Dean is Dr. John Anderson. For questions about a science course or program, please go to A114 even if your science class meets in the new Center for Science and Health Professions. For engineering or engineering technology questions, there is an engineering department office in W305G.
• Health Professions (HP). This school includes nursing, practical nursing, dental hygiene, radiography, radiation oncology, and phlebotomy. The Dean for Health Professions is Carole Graham and the school office is HP214E on the second floor of the Center for Science and Health Professions.
• Business, Technology, and Trades (BTT). This school includes business, accounting, IT, culinary, horticulture, paralegal studies, welding, and HVAC. The school office is located in W305 and the interim dean is Deborah Yancey.
