Volunteer/Internship Opportunity!

The Feeding America Hunger Study will start next month- VOLUNTEER AND INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES are available! Volunteers are needed to help with the client survey by working in teams to visit assigned food distribution sites throughout Southwest Virginia to randomly select clients for a computer-based interview. Teams of 3 to 4 will be paired with a food pantry, shelter, or soup kitchen to conduct client interviews. This great opportunity allows volunteers to learn more about hunger in their community.

Feeding America Southwest VA is holding an Information Session on Monday, April 8 from 12-1 PM in the Natural Science Center.  If you are interested and can't make the information session you can pick up a FASWVA volunteer information form in the Volunteer Office, Thomas Center room 210 or email Lori Mier, lmier@virginiawestern.edu.
