"One in Six People in Southwest Virginia struggles to have adequate access to food." More than 60,000 lbs of food is rescued every month thanks to the volunteers at Feeding America Southwest Virginia. Volunteers rescue food by sorting dented cans, crushed boxes, or other superficially damaged food to ensure the food inside is safe and consumable.
