“Go Orange” Food Drive

Virginia Western Community College is going orange, the color of hunger awareness - to help raise awareness of hunger relief!

Please drop off non-perishable food items to designated Feeding America Southwest Virginia bins located throughout campus.  You can also bring food items to the Virginia Western Volunteer Center- Thomas Center, room 210.

Most needed items:  peanut butter, rice, beans, 100% juice, canned meat, vegetables and fruits.

Stop Hunger Now donation locations

Now accepting money donations for the Stop Hunger Now meal packaging event in November. 

$2,500 needed to package 10,000 meals!

If everyone at Virginia Western donates .25 cents we will reach our goal!  Please drop off donations at one of these areas:

  • Volunteer Center - Thomas Center, room 210
  • Humanities Building - Room H111
  • Bookstore
  • Chapman Hall - Room 105
  • Webber Hall - Business, Engineering & Technology Office
  • Anderson Hall - Room 114- Science & Math Division Office

• Morning session begins at 8:00 am
• Afternoon session begins at 11:30 am

You’ll hear about how your college credits may transfer, receive information on scholarships and financial aid (including the special offer of two years for the price of one for transfer students), take a campus tour, visit classes, learn more about internship and study abroad experiences our Batten Leadership Institute, and other distinctive Hollins opportunities.
