Volunteer Fair -TODAY!

Come celebrate community and discover how you can get involved!

Over 12 community organizations will be present to recruit volunteers, build awareness and network.

Accepting non-perishable food items for Feeding America Southwest VA and donations for the Stop Hunger Now meal packaging event in November.  Sponsored by the Virginia Western Volunteer Center.

Student Trips at Virginia Western

Student Activities is excited to offer two Student Trips this semester! Spots are limited, so sign up today!


NC Zoo - Asheboro, NC
Sunday, September 30
Walk from Africa’s grasslands to North America’s Arctic coast. Connect with wildlife from two different continents as you explore more than 500 acres of animal habitats!

Visit Washington DC
Tuesday, November 20 (First Day of Thanksgiving Break)
Spend a day in our nation’s capitol. Visit museums or monuments! Examples include the National Gallery of Art, National Museum of Natural History, or Lincoln Memorial. Most attractions in Washington DC are free.

Both trips are day trips and include transportation on a charter bus. The trip to the NC Zoo also includes the admission to the zoo. Participants must bring money for meals. Limited number of spots available. Sign up with Student Activities to reserve your spot. $10 deposit required at time of sign up.

2012 Fall Graduation

If you are interested in applying for Fall 2012 Graduation, the application deadline is October 15, 2012.  Please note, a $15.00 graduation application fee must be paid at the time of application (at the Cashier’s Office in Chapman Hall, Room C104, and the receipt brought to the Records Office in Chapman Hall, Room C107.)  Graduation applications are available in each of the Academic School offices.
