Career Questions?

Do you know what you want to do when you grow up? Or are you a grown-up looking for a new career path? I’ve been there and done that in both cases. A great resource available here at Brown Library to help you answer these questions is The Occupational Outlook Handbook.

Published by the federal government, it can be a real eye-opener. What does a career pay on average? Which occupations are growing the fastest? What skills or education are required for a field? What do people in a given career field actually do?

The print version is available at the Reference desk on the Main Floor of the library. There is also an online version of The Occupational Outlook Handbook. Help is also available on campus at the Career and Employment Assistance Center. Contact the Center by phone at 540-857-7298 or e-mail CareerCenter@virginiawestern.edu.

Stop by the library today to peruse it in print or investigate your options online!
