MEMORIAL DAY 2012 COLLEGE CLOSING

Virginia Western Community College will be closed on Monday, May 28, 2012, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. The college will re-open for normal business operations and summer classes on Tuesday, May 29, 2012.

Many community activities will be taking place over this holiday weekend and I encourage you to participate in ceremonies honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in support of our freedoms and democracy. If you are unable to attend an event, do take the opportunity to consider the meaning of this holiday and share that with your family and friends.

If you plan to travel this weekend, please be careful along your way and we will all regroup for business on Tuesday. Enjoy your time off.

Our next regularly scheduled holiday will be Wednesday, July 4, 2012, for the observance of Independence Day.

Thank you.

Robert H. Sandel
