VW Financial Aid and Student Accounts Support Center

Virginia Western is excited to offer a new service for students.  Beginning July 1, students will have access to phone assistance regarding financial aid and student accounts with the Virginia Western Financial Aid and Student Accounts Support Center.  Assistance will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.  The new phone number for this service is 855-874-6690.  Enhanced online services are also available through the Virginia Western Financial Aid and Student Accounts Support Website.  Links for the support website will be available on the Financial Aid, Tuition & Payment, and Current Student web pages.

Condolences to the Mabe family

Virginia Western lost a member of its family on Thursday as Carlton Mabe passed away after a lengthy illness. He was beloved across campus and throughout the community.

Carlton was a devoted employee at the College since 1982, coordinating the motorcycle safety program for 23 years and managing ushers at commencement for 28 years. At this year's commencement ceremony, Carlton was named the college's professional emeritus.

Carlton is survived by his wife of 39 years, Melody, his son, Carlton II, and daughter Samantha. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11th at a to-be-determined time at Vinton Baptist Church.

Summer Student ID hours

All students must bring a Government Issued Photo ID (i.e., Driver's License) AND a copy of their current class schedule

Students who have a student ID already can receive a Summer 2015 enrollment sticker during these same hours.  Students must bring a copy of their current class schedule.

Appointments can be arranged June 29-July 2 with Natasha Lee (nlee@virginiawestern.edu) or Nick Owens (nowens@virginiawestern.edu).

No IDs will be made after July 2 until Fall semester.

Fitness Center Summer Hours!

The Fitness Center will be opening with the following Summer hours starting on May 18th!

Monday - Wednesday - 10:00am-6:00pm

Thursday - 8:00am - 3:00pm

Fridays: Closed

*The Fitness Center is closed for operation when the college is closed. Student/Staff ID requried to use the Fitness Center*
