Learning Technology Center

Labs

Computer Labs

In addition to the Testing Center, Math Center, Writing Center, and the Power Hour Program, the Learning Technology Center houses two computer labs. The main computer lab (B17/18) contains 30 workstations, and is open to all Virginia Western students -- except during those times when the lab has been reserved for testing or class instruction. In addition to providing access to the World Wide Web, the computers in the main lab have the following software available:

Associates are available during operating hours to provide assistance in using the computers and software.

The other computer lab (B11A) is restricted to student use for placement testing, distance learning testing, makeup testing, and proctored testing. Contact the Learning Center staff for more information about these services.

Audio/Visual Lab

The Learning Technology Center houses a small audio-visual area where students may view videocassette programs and listen to audio tapes. Many of these programs are textbook specific; others provide supplementary assistance and/or information.

Other Labs

There are several additional computer labs on campus that are available to our students. Some labs are open with no restrictions; others are available only to students in certain programs of study. All labs are closed on holidays observed by the college and when the college is closed due to inclement weather.

The labs listed below are available, check the campus map if you need help finding these buildings on campus.
