WELCOME!
The Knisely Learning Technology Center (LTC) serves the college in several ways. It is the main campus testing center. The Center gives placement tests for new students, and test facilitators administer and monitor distance tests and make-up tests and proctor off-campus tests. Additionally, the LTC is the resource center for supplementary instructional assistance for students. Tutors are available in the Math Center and the Writing Center for day and evening students. The CTE Tutor Coordinator is available to match qualified students for individual tutoring sessions in classes where they are experiencing academic difficulty.
The LTC also houses two computer labs: a large lab available to students for general instructional use and a smaller lab for testing.

Mission Statement
The Learning Technology Center is a multi-function resource and instructional support center for students. The primary mission of the Learning Technology Center is to provide supplementary instructional support to students taking classes in English/composition, mathematics, or English as a second language. The center also provides instructional support to students enrolled in a number of natural science, engineering, and information systems technology courses. To accomplish these goals, the center houses a Math Center, and a Writing Center, as well as, Power Hour, a one-on-one tutoring program.
In addition, we administer placement tests for English, math, and reading courses, as well as proctored exams for all asynchronous distance learning courses. As a service to the community, the Center also administers proctored tests and special tests.
All of the services and supports are free to students currently enrolled at Virginia Western Community College.
