Reserves
The reserve collection is kept behind the circulation desk on the top floor of Brown Library. The purpose of reserves is to keep materials in a central place where all students share access. None of the reserve materials can be checked out. Access to a photocopier is provided on the main floor. For more information please call the reserve desk at 857-6332. Reserve materials include:
- Textbooks - Please note, not all textbooks are on reserve.
- Books - These may include instructor personal copies, or books from our circulating collection.
- Articles from periodicals & books - due to copyright restrictions, the number of photocopies on reserve is limited.
- AV materials such as videos, cds, and cd-roms.
Forms
- Course Reserves/Copyright Form - Faculty members must complete and submit when placing materials on reserve.
- Student Course Reserve Authorization Form - If the material being placed on reserve is a student paper or media project, the faculty member must obtain the student’s permission to use the material prior to placing it on reserve. The student must complete this form, and the completed form must be submitted with the material to be placed on reserve.
