Brown Library currently subscribes to 119 periodical titles in hard copy format. This includes magazines, journals and newspapers. In addition to our current subscriptions we also have back issues of several hundred more titles.
Periodicals in Brown Library are located on the main floor in the reference department. They are arranged alphabetically by title. See a list of Periodicals in Brown Library or Newspapers in Brown Library.
Brown Library is also a member of the VIVA consortium, which provides online databases like Factiva, Project Muse, and the EBSCO collection. These databases cover a wide variety of sources, many of which are full-text. See VIVA Full-Text for a list of periodicals covered.
Periodicals are kept in reference and most do not check out. For certain titles however, we do allow back issues to circulate. Please click on Circulating Magazines for more information.
