Brown Library’s classified staff employees were honored at the recent Employee Awards Ceremony held in Virginia Western’s Whitman Theater. Pam Conner, Kalyca Schultz, Sandra Kelly, Faith Janney, Sandy Holland, Joan Ayers, and Jim Gettys received the 2012 Classified Staff Outstanding Achievement Award for their hard work in reorienting the library to make more space for students. Brown Library’s collection of 20 iPads are being updated and will be temporarily unavailable for check-out this week. A few new apps will be downloaded to them, including the newest versions of Blackboard Mobile, Blackboard Collaborate, and Khan Academy. The iPads will become available again during the week of October 22.
