In addition, the Virginia Community College System (which includes VWCC and 22 other colleges) is covering a reference chat service called LRCLive.  LRCLive enables you and a library reference staff member to chat online and share online content in real-time. At the end of each session, you will receive a transcript of the entire session, including links to web pages, provided you enter a valid e-mail address when signing on.

LRCLive is best for online research and search strategy assistance. Please keep in mind that not all research can be answered solely by web-based resources or in a single session. Legal, medical and financial advice is not available via LRCLive. For general help with library operating hours, overdue fines, interlibrary loan requests, specific book or video inquiries, etc. please call us at 857-7303.

There is a librarian on duty at the reference desk during all the hours that the library is open. You are always welcome to stop by the library or call us. Face-to-face and voice-to-voice communication is still strongly encouraged!
