A message to the Virginia Tech community,

In the face of a harsh tragedy and devastation come strength, a strong sense of community, and the reality that all of us who walk on this earth are connected to one other. This connection is being demonstrated as Hokies and non-Hokies unite in the wake of the tragedy that happened at Virginia Tech on Monday, April 16.

Like you, we grieve for those friends and family lost to us too early. We will continue to hold them in our hearts to preserve their memory and to honor their lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families and the entire Virginia Tech community.

Your grace, courage, and spirit are an inspiration to the nation and the world.
