The Greenfield Education & Training Center is the crown jewel of the Botetourt Center, an expansive and innovative business park located on Rt. 220 north in Daleville, Virginia. With panoramic views and a beautiful natural setting the Greenfield Education & Training Center is ideally located for easy access in an inspirational setting. We are only minutes from I-81 and only 20 minutes from downtown Roanoke.

Greenfield Center

The Training Center is a public-funded joint venture between Botetourt County, Virginia Western Community College, and Dabney S. Lancaster Community College with funding provided by the Commonwealth of Virginia and Botetourt County. Virginia Western Community College has full time faculty and staff from the College's Workforce Development Services and Lifelong Learning Division on-site at the Greenfield Center.

What do we do at the Greenfield Center?
The 40,000 square foot building includes an 85-seat lecture hall, office space, classrooms, computer labs, interactive technology, and heavy manufacturing labs designed to train workers throughout the region. Virginia Western Community College offers general continuing education classes as well as customized business and industry training.

Conveniently located at the Greenfield Center, the Virginia Western Community College Workforce Development Coordinator and staff can assist in developing affordable, customized programs for your business or organization that include

Additionally, Virginia Western Community College offers general continuing education classes to the general public at the Greenfield Center. These classes are open to everyone and the admission and fee schedule follows Virginia Western Community College's policies.

How much do classes cost?
Training provided by Virginia Western Community is accredited through the Southern Association of Colleges and Universities and is affordable. The fee schedule for credit classes is based on the Virginia Community College fee schedule and for the 2007-2008 school year is $81.74 per credit hour for residents meeting "in-state student" requirements. Fees for Non-Credit Classes, Seminars, and Custom Business Training will be priced on an individual basis.

What a wonderful place to hold a meeting, conference, or even a wedding reception! In addition to pastoral mountain views, the 40,000 sq. foot Greenfield Education & Training Center has classrooms, conference rooms, the lecture hall, and other facilities available at reasonable rates based upon availability.

Directions to the Greenfield Center

From the north via I-81
Exit 150 B (the first exit, which is a right turn only). At end of ramp, turn right onto US 220 North. Travel 3.5 miles to the crossover at Rt. 839 (International Parkway). Turn lleft on to International Parkway for .1 mile, then left onto South Center Drive.Take the first left into the Center's driveway and follow the left-hand fork to the main entrance at the top of the hill. The main office is located on the upper level of the tri-level facility and the administrative offices are on the far right as you enter the building. An electronic kiosk near the main entrance lists all the daily programs and activities being held at the Center.

From the south via I-81
Exit 150 B (the second exit); take right turn at end of ramp. This puts you onto US 11 South. Stay in RIGHT lane of US 11 for .2 mile. Negotiate your way through the maze of trucks onto US 220 North toward Fincastle. From the intersection of US 11 & US 220, travel north on US 220 for 3.8 miles to the crossover at Rt. 839 (International Parkway). Follow the instructions noted above.

From the east via US 460
Turn right onto Alternate US 220 (Cloverdale Road). Travel west approximately 5 miles to the intersection of US 220 and US 11 and I-81. From intersection, travel north on US 220 for 3.8 miles to the crossover at Rt. 839 (International Parkway). Follow the instructions noted above.

VWCC is a proud occupant of the Roanoke Higher Education Center which is located beside the Hotel Roanoke in downtown Roanoke. The Higher Education Center houses representatives from many of the region'sfinest institutions of higher education, community training and workforce development and provides the citizens of the Roanoke with access to many educational resources-right downtown.

From 581 heading South
Take Exit 5. Turn right onto Wells Ave. Proceed past the Hotel Roanoke. Cross Jefferson St. Take next left into Jordan Alley to Parking Lot 1.

From 220/581 heading North
Take Exit 4E, immediately turn right onto Williamson Road. Proceed south to Wells Ave., and turn right onto Wells. Cross Jefferson St. Take next left into Jordan Alley to Parking Lot 1.

Directions to VWCC Main Campus

From Interstate I81 (Exit 143)
Take I581/220 South to Colonial Avenue Exit ~ 8 Miles. take a left at the stoplight at the end of the exit ramp. At the 3rd light, turn right on McNeil Drive. Fishburn Hall is on the left.

From Route 419 (SW)
Take a left onto Colonial Ave. (from Salem direction)~ 8 miles from intersection of 419 & Rt. 11. Go straight through next stoplight. Turn left at the light on McNeil Drive. Fishburn Hall is on the left.

From Route 220 South
Take Colonial Ave./Wonju Exit off 220/I581. Turn right at end of ramp and continue to stoplight. Turn left at light onto Colonial Avenue. Continue on Colonial Avenue through next light. At the light, turn right on McNeil Drive. Fishburn Hall is on the left (third entrance on left - Parking Lot 5).
