Microsoft Office 2013

VWCC faculty and staff can now get Office 2013 for their home computer. Microsoft is charging $9.95 per copy to download the complete version of Office 2013. The $9.95 gives you a license to install Microsoft Office on one home computer. You can also purchase a backup DVD for $13.99. This is still an excellent deal and is only available to VWCC faculty and staff, not to students.

Symantec AntiVirus

Students, faculty and staff can now download Symantec Antivirus products for use on their personal computers.  

1. Using your web browser go to http://www.virginiawestern.edu/.
2. Click the MY VWCC link located at the top in the dark blue banner. You can also find the My VWCC button in the lower right-hand column.
3. Enter your Username and Password and click Log In.
4. Click the Blackboard 8 option from the My Tools menu.
5. Scroll down on the Blackboard Screen until you find the Free Anti-virus Software box.
6. Click the “download it here” link at the bottom of the section.
7. Read the License Agreement and hit the I Agree button at the bottom.
8. Scroll down until you find your operating system.
9. Follow the installation instructions provided on the web page.
