Become a registered nurse outside the traditional classroom.
Virginia Western Community College participates in the Commonwealth Nursing Program (CNP), an online alternative to traditional RN education. CNP lecture courses are taught online and the clinicals take place in the evening hours during the week, as well as during the day and evening hours on weekends. The VWCC program is restricted to 10 selected students.
Attendance at a CNP information session is mandatory for all applicants being considered for admission. Anyone interested may attend, there is no pre-registration required.
CNP Information Sessions
Anderson Hall, Room 127 at 12:00 noon

Further information is available for review at www.jtcc.edu, select Academics and then click on Commonwealth Nursing Program. This general information is for all the schools that participate in the CNP program (VWCC does not admit a new CNP class in the spring semester). Students who are not actively attending Virginia Western must complete a new VWCC college application, if this would be their "home" college of choice (must be completed before February 1st.) The CNP application must be submitted during the January application period to the CNP Director for fall admission consideration.
