VWCC Employee and Retiree Appreciation Scholarship

The VWCC Employee and Retiree Appreciation Scholarship has been established to appreciate and honor employees and retirees of Virginia Western Community College.  You may make a contribution or pledge over five years to help establish the endowed VWCC Employee and Retiree Appreciation Scholarship.  Once established, funds from the scholarship will reward students for their academic achievements and make earning a quality education even more affordable.  Interested donors may contribute to establish the scholarships at the following levels: 

Appreciation Level

Minimum of $50 - $249

In order to participate in the scholarship a minimum of $50 must be contributed by the donor whose gift of appreciation will be noted on the Foundation's website and in the annual report.  A notice will be sent to the employee/retiree's family regarding the contribution.

Honoree Level

Minimum of $250 - $499

Donors may contribute in honor or in memory of a retiree.  The gift will be noted as such on the Foundation's website, in the annual report, and a notice will be sent to the employee/retiree or the employee/retiree's family regarding the contribution. The employee/retiree will be recognized throughout the year at special Foundation events celebrating employees and retirees.

Admiration of Excellence Level

$500 and above

The gift will be noted in the same ways as the Honoree Level.  Additionally, the employee/retiree or his/her family will receive a certificate suitable for framing noting he or she has been recognized at the Admiration of Excellence Level.
