"Our church celebrated the graduation of our oldest graduate recently. She is a 40+ mother of three who worked full time and pursued her educational goals. I remarked as we gave her a standing ovation that 'VWCC was an oasis in what could be perceived as an educational desert for many.' Virginia Western Community College enables late bloomers to bloom. I'm delighted to be a board member of the Virginia Western Community College Educational Foundation because Virginia Western Community College is the community's college."
