In accordance with Department of Human Resources Management Policy 4.35 “Leave Sharing”, Virginia Western Community College is seeking employees who wish to donate their annual leave. Annual leave donations received will be applied to supplement the pay of a fellow employee who has exhausted all of their leave during their absence to care for a family member who has a serious health care condition. Annual leave donations will cease when the employee returns to work; or, if still absent from work, Family Medical Leave has been exhausted or no longer qualifying.
- Annual leave donations are required by policy to be in minimum increments of 8 hours.
- Only annual leave may be donated.
- Leave that has been processed may not be reclaimed.
