HALL CAREER CENTER- HELPING STUDENTS FIND EMPLOYMENT!!

The Hall Career Center is hosting a number of events to help students find employment.

1. Lowe's Application Sessions:

  • What: Lowe's Employment Application & Screening Sessions
  • When: Wednesday, February 27th
  • Time: 2 sessions- 1:00-2:00 & 4:00-5:00
  • Where: W217
  • Registration: Yes in the Hall Career Center

Meet & talk with the HR representative from Lowe's about available positions, requirements, and get help with the application process during these sessions.

 2. Focused Career Fair open to majors in:

 ***MEDICAL, HEALTH TECH, LAB SCIENCES, FITNESS, & WELLNESS RELATED PROGRAMS***

What:  Health Technology & Wellness Career Fair
When: Thursday, February 28th, 2013; 12-4
Where: VWCC Gym

3. Recruiters:

  • 2/25  Home Depot- 8-5
  • 2/26 National Guard- 11-4
  • 2/28 Army - 11-4

 4. One of the LARGEST Career Fairs:

 The purpose of the Career Premiere Fair  is to share information with college students and graduates about career and internship opportunities at participating organizations.

  • What: Career Premiere Fair
  • When: Thursday, March 28, 2013 From 11:00-3:00
  • Where: Salem Civic Center
  • Registration: Yes in the Hall Career Center
  • Open to: ALL Students

Pre-registration required by Thursday,  3/21/13

5. Chamber of Commerce Career Focus Dinners:

The Chamber of Commerce host visits to different companies throughout the Roanoke Valley. This allows students to visit and walk through a company while listening to a presentation from the companies HR department. The presentation includes the hiring process, what departments the company has, a Q & A session and much more..... Sign up in the Hall Career Center TODAY and visit one of the following companies:

*Transportation provided to ALL dinners*

  • Coca-Cola- March 7; 4:30-7pm
  • StellarOne Bank- March 14; 4:30-7pm
  • WSLQ FM Broadcasting- March 21; 4:30-7:00
  • Western VA Water Authority-April 4; 4:30-7pm

Pre-registration required ONE week before each dinner.

6. Lunch Leads:

Learn how your credit can affect your employment!

  • What: -Money Management International on Credit
  • When: March 14; 12:00-1:30
  • Where: Natural Science Center
  • Registration: Yes in the Hall Career Center
  • Open to: ALL students
  • FREE LUNCH PROVIDED
