Local Book Featured in People Magazine and Available at Brown Library

Mister Owita’s Guide to Gardening by local author, Carol Wall, is featured in the “Books” review section of the March 10th issue of People Magazine. The review calls the book “a profoundly moving memoir that tells the story of an unexpected friendship and the rewards of reaping what we sow.”

Two copies of this popular new book are available on the top floor of Brown Library. See a library staff member at the Circulation Desk, and check out this featured selection for a 2 week period.

Open House Tomorrow!

Invite your current and former students to join the Virginia Western Alumni Association for an Open House at the Fralin Center for Science and Health Professions. Come and learn about all the health professions programs housed in the Fralin Center, speak with Roanoke Valley health professions service providers at the vendor fair, and enjoy free refreshments and prizes. The event is open to the public.

WHERE: The Jefferson Center--Shaftman Performance Hall

INFO: Selected high school jazz students from Roanoke Valley high schools participating in CCAP will perform. Brandon Lee, a renowned jazz trumpeter will be the guest conductor.

College Budget Process

The college budget process for Fiscal Year 2014 -2015 is now open.  All college employees are encouraged to participate in the process by communicating with their respective Dean or Department Head to identify funding needs and to facilitate the submission of such requests.  Requests may be submitted from now through the deadline of April 18, 2014.

All requests for funding regardless of the source, including equipment trust fund (ETF) must be submitted through the budget process.
