External Survey for Full-Time and Adjunct Faculty

A doctoral student has asked for our participation in a research study. This study has been approved by the IRB at Virginia Western and at his own university. Please consider completing the survey linked at the bottom of his explanation of the study.

The purpose of the study is to determine community college faculty perceptions regarding the importance of the six Behavior Engineering Model variables (information, resources, incentive, knowledge and skills, capacity, motives) in the work environment and to determine if significant differences exist between survey respondents based on gender, age group, years of experience teaching at this community college, current employment status (full-time or part-time faculty) and highest education level in your teaching field.
The study will generate data for community college management use in making informed decisions regarding future professional development initiatives and demonstrate the value of using a systematic human performance technology approach for determining faculty perceptions of the importance of the variables.
Your opinion is valuable and participation in this voluntary survey is greatly appreciated. Submission of the survey indicates your consent to participate. For the purpose of confidentiality and to protect the rights of participants, names will not be collected. As an additional measure to protect your identity, the survey is administered through a non-affiliated third party.
