Horticulture Degrees at Virginia Western
Virginia Western has several degrees and certificates in horticulture designed to prepare students for employment in the horticulture industry and/or to provide training for those who want to improve and upgrade their existing knowledge and skills.
Students in the Horticulture Degree Program
VWCC students are exposed to various types of plants and get hands-on experience in the Horticulture programs. Pictured below are Angela Parks and Matthew Penney dividing ornamental grass for future plantings.
Horticulture Seminars At VWCC
Virginia Western also offers many seminars that are designed to meet the needs of both home gardeners and professional horticulturists. They are offered on a "pass-fail" (NO TESTS!) basis and usually meet two hours per week for eight weeks or three hours per week for five weeks. Check the Schedule of Classes for specific times and locations. To register, stop by the VWCC Admissions Office.
