Register & Pay
- Register and pay online or visit the Admissions Office, Chapman Hall, room C109, 540-857-7231.
- VWCC 2008-2009 Academic Calendar (Word - 58KB) - last day to drop and receive refund and last date to withdraw from a class.
SUMMER 2008 Tuition
- Virginia Resident: $81.74 per credit hour*
- Non-Virginia Resident: $256.89 per credit hour*
- Non-Virginia Resident E-Rate: $175.94 per credit hour*
- Tuition payment may be made when registering or may be delayed until May 8, 2008. If tuition is not paid by May 8, registration will be cancelled and students must re-register for their classes if space is still available. Beginning May 8, tuition must be paid when registering.
- Payment of tuition enables the student to use the Bookstore and other facilities of the college.
- Student tuition is paid on a credit-hour basis. The typical academic course load for the fall and spring semester is 15-17 credits. The minimum full-time load for the fall and spring semester is 12 credits and the normal maximum full-time credit load is 18 credits. (Exception: 18 credits plus one credit for orientation does not require approval.) Financial aid requirement for full-time is 12 credits.
- The typical academic course load for the summer semester is 8-10 credits. The minimum full-time load in the summer is 8 credits and the maximum load is 12 credits. (Exception: 12 credits plus one credit for orientation does not require approval.)
- Approval to take credit loads above the normal levels are approved under specific circumstances (i.e., cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher). Students must obtain approval from the Admissions and Records Coordinator in the Admissions Office.

FACTS
To help meet your educational expenses, Virginia Western Community College is pleased to participate in the FACTS tuition payment plan. For a non-refundable fee, FACTS allows you to pay your tuition in monthly, interest-free payments. The earlier you enroll the more payment options you have. You may enroll in the FACTS plan or review the available payment plans at FACTS e-Cashier or contact FACTS Tuition Management at 1-800-609-8056.
Financial Aid
Financial aid is also available for qualifying students.
The State Board approves all tuition and fees for Community Colleges and has the authority to change any and all tuition and fees without prior notice.
