Dual Enrollment Calendar and Due Dates 2013-2014 (PDF)

Fall Semester 2013

Thursday, September 12

Pickup of class rosters from your Guidance Coordinator for each dual enrollment class you will teach this semester. Be sure to turn in your dual enrollment class roster(s) by Friday, September 6.

Class rosters must contain:

  • the school's name
  • the instructor's name
  • the name of the course
  • the period of the day the course is being taught
  • each student's EMPLID printed next to his/her name on the class roster

Note: Students without EMPLIDs cannot be registered for any dual enrollment class(es) since they have not completed an application for admittance to Virginia Western.

During the period between September 12 and September 30, students may drop/add classes without penalty. September 30 is the LAST OFFICIAL DATE THAT STUDENTS MAY ADD OR DROP a dual enrollment class(es) for the fall semester. After September 30, students who drop the dual enrollment class will receive a W, which will go on the student's academic record at the college.

Monday, October 2

Dual Enrollment Faculty check MYVWCC to verify that their class rosters are correct. Send a confirmation e-mail to kbeard@virginiawestern.edu.

Wednesday, November 20

This is the last official date that students may withdraw from a dual enrollment class. Counselors or instructors who wish to withdraw a student(s) should contact Dr. Kathryn H. Beard at 857-7235 or kbeard@virginiawestern.edu.

This is the deadline for fall semester grades to be entered into the My VWCC system by dual enrollment instructors. Click here for information on entering grades.

Spring Semester 2014

Wednesday, February 5

Pickup of class rosters from your Guidance Coordinator for each dual enrollment class you will teach this semester. Be sure to turn in your dual enrollment class roster(s) by Friday, January 31.

Class rosters must contain:

  • the school's name

  • the name of the course
  • the period of the day the course is being taught

Thursday, February 27

This is the LAST OFFICIAL DATE THAT STUDENTS MAY ADD OR DROP a dual enrollment class(es) for the spring semester. After this date, no student(s) will be allowed to add any dual enrollment class. Students who wish to drop a class after Wednesday, February 27 will receive a W, which will go on the student's academic record at the college.

Friday, Febrauary 28

Dual Enrollment Faculty check MYVWCC to verify that their class rosters are correct. Send a confirmation e-mail to kbeard@virginiawestern.edu.

Thursday, April 17

This is the last official date that students may withdraw from a dual enrollment class. Counselors or instructors who wish to withdraw a student(s) should contact Dr. Kathryn H. Beard at 857-7235 or kbeard@virginiawestern.edu.

Monday, June 9 (schools starting prior to Labor Day) & Friday, June 13 (schools starting after Labor Day)
