Additional Resources

Recently, Virginia Western (VWCC) and Virginia Tech have created a scholarship opportunity for full-time VWCC Engineering students. The name of the scholarship program is Virginia Tech Network for Engineering Transfer Students (VT-NETS) and it is funded by the National Science Foundation. The scholarship will provide each successful applicant with up to $6,000 a year over two years while working towards completion of the A.S. in Engineering degree at VWCC. After earning the degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, students would have the opportunity to continue full-time at Virginia Tech pursuing a B.S. degree in Engineering. While at Virginia Tech the scholarship would provide up to $10,000 a year over two years and fully fund a student's study abroad experience as part of Virginia Tech's Engineering program.
