Energy Management Systems

Few industries are guaranteed such fast global growth as green energy!

While green energy jobs are found across all industries, the most likely place to find them is in Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Building Operations.

Green energy jobs involve any of the following activities:

  • Energy generation from renewable sources
  • Manufacturing of goods used in renewable power generation, construction, and installation of energy and pollution management systems
  • Engineering and consulting services in support of the activities above

The EMS program offers a diverse selection of technical training and career development opportunities for individuals who are interested in improving building system performance or working in the energy industry.

Program of Study

Energy Management Systems - Technician

This two-semester Career Studies Certificate begins with an introduction of the fundamentals and safety requirements for alternative energy systems and then advances to the application and study of wind turbines as well as system exercises and maintenance on energy systems.
