Mathematics is a dynamic, developing and powerful field contributing to the cutting edge advances in science and technology. VWCC offers a wide curriculum in Mathematics ranging from review classes in basic math and algebra to multivariate calculus, linear algebra, discrete math and differential equations. Our faculty is dedicated to teaching and our math lab provides many resources to assist students in the successful completion of our courses.
The AS Science Specialization in Mathematics is designed for students who plan to transfer to a four year college or university and major in mathematics, mathematics education, or statistics. Students who complete the degree will be prepared to begin junior level mathematics at any college or university offering a mathematics degree. This program is also suitable for students pursuing transfer degrees in physics, chemistry, engineering, or computer science.
