What is the HonorS INSTITUTE?

The Honors Institute offers intellectually stimulating coursework, involving smaller, interactive, seminar-style classes. Emphasis in the Honors Institute is placed on student exploration of new ideas, in-depth discussion and critical thinking.

Cultural events, field trips, and participation in the Honors Institute provide opportunities for learning outside of the classroom, while building long-lasting relationships with fellow honors students and faculty.

Admission into the Honors Institute is selective and is based on a combination of several factors, including transcripts, letters of recommendation, an essay on an assigned topic, and an interview.
