Telephone Registration Information
Qualified students can register by telephone.
You can register by telephone if you:
- use a touch-tone telephone and know the 5-digit class ID number (printed with the Schedule of Classes)
- have a current application on file and know your student ID/Emplid number
- are registering for 18 credits or less
- area returning student
- are in good academic standing
- have no financial obligation to the college
To register by telephone:
- Call (540) 857-7827.
- Press "6" for registration functions.
- Enter your student ID/Emplid followed by the pound (#) sign.
- Enter your 6-digit PIN. Initially, the PIN will default to your date of birth and you will be required to change it. Your PIN is a set of numbers that you shouldn't share with anyone; it protects the privacy and confidentiality of your personal information. Select a PIN that is easy for you to remember, but very difficult for someone else to guess.
- Enter your Student Type: 1. Semester Credit Student (enrolling for college credit), or 2. Continuing Education Student (enrolling for non-credit). QCRED is not a valid option.
- Select the appripriate semester.
Registration Options:
- To ADD a class, press 2. Enter the 5-digit identification number. The class number is listed in the schedule of classes. If you add a class with a lecture/lab, you will automatically be added to both the lecture and the lab.
- To DROP a class, press 3. Enter the 5-character class number.
- To LIST your classes, press 5.
