The developmental biology program at Virginia Western Community College consists of one, four credit hour course. This course is designed to prepare students for academic success in college-level biology courses. Specifically, this class is ideally suited for students who did not complete a high school biology course. Additionally, this course can prove extremely beneficial for students who have attempted a college-level biology courses and experienced difficulty.

| Develops a basic understanding of plant and animal form, function, and relationships. Prepares students who have deficiency in high school biology. May be repeated for credit. | |
