In the Basic Rider Course, students will have the opportunity to learn:

The Motorcycle Safety Foundation certifies our Instructors/RiderCoaches.
A valid automobile license or a motorcycle learner's permit is required to participate in this class.
Trainer motorcycles are provided.
No previous riding experience is necessary; however a good sense of balance is required.

Students MUST be on time for all class sessions. NO ADMITTANCE for late arrivals.
Friday: 6:00 PM - 9:30 PM
Saturday & Sunday:
Single Session Classes 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM;
Dual Session Classes 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM OR 1:00 - 6:00 PM

Composite tuition, subject to change
Virginia Resident: $135.09 per credit hour
Non-Virginia Resident: $327.19 per credit hour
For the riding portion of the course, students must provide protective gear.

Students will not be permitted to ride without this protective gear. Helmets are available if needed.

The instructor has the final authority in determining if a student shall be permitted to participate in the riding portion of the course.
There is a knowledge and a riding skills test at the end of the course. Passing these two tests earns the student a Motorcycle Safety Foundation Completion Card and a Virginia licensing waiver, subject to VA DMV license requirements.
From I-81
Take Exit 143, Travel South on I-581 to the Colonial Avenue Exit and follow the signs for 7/10 of a mile.
From VA 419
Turn North onto Colonial Avenue and proceed 1.9 miles.
Training will be conducted on the Virginia Western Community College Campus, in Webber Hall, Room W121. Students should park in front of the building between the white lines. (Campus Map)
